Finally, after several years of riding through Sierra Madre in route to or from various activities, tiring of the swill at Starbucks, and to say that service at Bean Town is slow if there are more than 2 people at the counter is being kind, I stopped at a little place over on Michillinda and Valley View Ave., just a block north of Sierra Madre, called Niko & Friends Coffee & Deli. Nice little place with good coffee, real food, a proprietor anxious to serve customers, comfortable environs, and shaded patio. Those of you who ride through Sierra Madre, and are looking for a congenial place to stop for a quick bite, or coffee, espresso, whatever, might want to give it a try.
