Extremely humid and warm again this morning, like it's been every day here for the past month. Had a nice commute but was soaked when I got to work, just from the humidity. We also got 2-3" of rain yesterday afternoon, which added to the mugginess. I made a good call on the weather yesterday, deciding to drive at the last minute after watching the morning forecast on TV. A cold front move through the area about 4:30 pm, triggering massive thunderstorms with high winds, torrential rain and flooding on many streets. I got totally soaked just walking to my truck after work and it took me almost an hour to drive home, nearly as long as my usual bike commuting time.

Fortunately, our weather is finally expected to break on Sunday, with much cooler and drier weather all of next week. That will be a welcome relief after the high heat and humidity we've had all summer.
