I've put together most of my bikes. I ride cheap stuff bought off Craigslist or sourced elsewhere. They serve me well. If Mr. (or Ms.) Gotbux buys a new $12,000 Impetigo Rigatoni every year, it makes no difference. In 10 years I might buy their old one. If no one bought new, there would be no used.
