OK, your picture off the bar threw me off.
Think Chinese box puzzle and follow the following sequence.
1- Slacken the cable, or if it's trash anyway, cut it off.
2- that will allow you to pull the ferrule from the front of the body
3- once the ferrule is clear, the cable slips from the body through the slot at the top, and can be rotated out of the way.
4- flex the lever and you'll see a key slot in the lever handle to allow you to push the cable and head out sideways.
5- once the cable is out of the way, flex the lever and you'll have access to the clamp screw in the bottom of the bottom of the body.
6- loosen clamp screw, and either slide lever off the bar, or remove the screw, and the body comes off then the clamp strap can be sprung open and removed.
