Intellectually I know this to be the sensible approach. Unfortunately I just really want something black and there are very few acceptably light non carbon choices.

Have you ridden them? Don't see why they'd be especially bad in crosswinds - the spokes don't add that much area.

For the same price you can get something good like a powertap Zipp 101 wheelset, or for less than one of the wheels you can get a handbuilt Hed C2 or Kinlin xr-300 wheelset.

There just isn't any reason (other than thinking they're cool) to buy the Rsys.
Sadly, I know this. But still...

I'm a mechanic and I'm hoping I might get some at trade pricing at some point. We'll see. I also notice that the 2013 version is significantly lighter.
