FWIW, I've ridden a lot of wheels, and I've never noticed any healthy wheel to ride differently in terms of radial stiffness. Under-tensioned AC350s felt the same as straight-gauge 36H Deep-Vs, which felt the same as some 70mm CF wheels.
Can anyone point to some radial deflection data that would support a smoother ride for a given wheel?
Back on topic, I think the R-Sys is a lightweight wagon wheel. Preposterous design. In the name of fashion? Sure, but keep in mind that you wouldn't care much about what others thought of you if you realized how seldom they did. You're the only person who cares about your wheel choice (other than frequent snickering if you choose R-Sys).
