No idea. That's actually something I'd quite like to know. The Exalith surface is certainly harder than conventional anodising but I guess it must wear eventually.
I saw one review where a scratch revealed as silver through the braking surface, but I'll bet some paint would stay there, since it's a low spot. Brakes remove aluminum, so they'll be all silver eventually.
