The price is fair, but the wheels are a lateral move, in my book. I assume you're speaking of the Cosmic Elites.
The hubs-advantage Dura Ace. Properly adjusted, packed, lubed, they're superior, in my book, and lighter.
The spokes and rims-advantage Mavic, equal on weight and better stiffness.

Just my opinion on it, but if you have those trued and tensioned, and make sure the hubs are perfectly adjusted/lubed, not a lot of gain for the money.
In my experience, that same bike rolling next to you, but with Cosmic Elites, will get out-rolled by the DA's. For criteriums, get the Mavics.

Since you work at a bike shop, I recommend you match those DA hubs with a new set of rims.
