I had a guy living under my back porch for several months. It was kind of unnerving, but it really wasn't a problem. He was there for quite a while before I even knew about it. I guess he wasn't homeless either.
I was homeless for a couple months in Southern California. Mostly I slept on the bluffs or the beach in La Jolla. My neighbors were all millionaires, and their view of the Pacific was no better than mine. I didn't really feel homeless either--I just thought I had a bigger home than anybody else--even the millionaires. I never would have called myself a hobo, but maybe a street person if I had to label myself.
