It looks like you might already have an issue with the rear de that's on there now, though.

Simplest fix is to look for a rear derailleur that's designed for your hanger tab angle.
The angle of the tab is not the issue. It's the existence of the tab. Early Simplex hangers don't have them. The angle of the tab is the issue with Huret hangers and Peugeot never used them.

The fact that you have a Shimano 105 mounted tells me that either your frame has the later Simplex dropouts with the tab or you have the earlier version and it's been modified. You should be able to use most any rear derailer in either case.
