I drink water all the time. If I go long distance like 50miles+ I carry preztel and granola bars. The preztel and granola bars help to keep my electrolytes(salt) levels up. The preztel and granola bars also provides me with carbohydrate from starch not sugar like sports drinks. So be careful if you only drink water, too much water with nothing to replace electrolytes(salt) levels can be deadly.
