Fixed on the road I run 170. Off-road, I switch between fixed and SS and use 175. Some people like to run longer cranks on the trail, 180 or better, but there's lots of rocks where I ride and even freewheeling I clip them sometimes. I rather have the clearance than a tiny bit more leverage.
