Thanks for all your comments! The tires are 70 min to 120 max psi, the high pressure doesn't bother me when I ride, but maybe I'll try lowering it a bit and see how it feels.
I don't know what a real Road Bike feels like, and I think the consensus is you can't turn your Trek FX into one, but there are a lot of people happy with them and even ride centuries on them.
