Wrong...

The nearest rim to that from late 80's, very early 90's was the iconic Open 4 CD anodised rim, which was around at the same time as the Mach2 CD and GP4 sprint rims amongst others, and just after the MA40 from the very late 80's.

The Open SUP CD, came in just after the silver Open 4 Ceramic (1991/2), which was later replaced by the Open SUP CD and Open Pro Ceramic at roughly the same time - circa 1994/95.
