That's double usage. The true ULers wear the sleeping bag as the insulation layer and end up looking like Michelin men or hobos. I'm with you as far as insulation goes, I like a dedicated jacket. For 3 seasons its the Marmot Catalyst, it's good in camp and great to ride in when it's cold and windy. i can't imagine trying to ride wrapped in a sleeping bag or quilt, too cumbersome and probably too hot. I don't tour in the winter, but if I did I'd use my Montbell UL Thermawrap. I combine this with my Mica shell as my everyday winter coat(s).
