As per the spacer above the stem, that is correctly done according to Enve. I had an Enve stem and even with the carbon steerer cut, and the top of steerer sitting 2-3mm below the top of the stem, Enve's instructions states a 5mm spacer must be placed under the headset top cap.
So they wanted the steer lower than then stem AND THEN another spacer on top? I'd worry about the spacer getting pushed out to the side when pre-loading the headset. Is there anything left to hold the spacer in line with the steer tube and stem?
