We usually get what we pay for with these and similar tubs. Such a failure is most likely a symptom of defect/bad QC at the factory when manufacturing the tire casing. Cuts in QC is the only way they could make them so affordable. At least it's not that common an occurance, but then also not so surprising. Just like the usual to us, bad lumps and kinks at the valve area and crooked treads on tires like Vittoria Rallies......
Don't worry yet. I have a feeling that Yellow Jersey might exchange that one for free if you send it back, as long as the cause was not running over a "road hazard" or "abuse"....... Give it a shot.
