Saturday 22nd is rapidly approaching! (High - 106 Temperature °F Mostly Cloudy) River Mountain Loop has been cleared, only a little sand as evidence of the horrific amount of water that made a mess of the roadways recently. Have not seen the trail conditionl, but Saturday we use Lakeshore, then to Hoover Dam, and back up the US-93 to Industrial, to Veterans Memorial, then the onto the trail. The trail is now clear and clean over Rail Road Pass and this loop using the roadway should be a good safe section of the ride.
From the ride announcement: If you are riding the 122 mile ride and do not make it to mile 84 (Fort Apache & Blue Diamond) by 1:45 p.m. you will be directed to turn off onto the 102 mile course in order to complete your ride by 5 p.m.
East side pickup location: You can use the parking lot located on Pacifica Way and US-93 for family or friends to pick you up in the event you feel you cannot complete the ride
West side pickup location: Please use the parking lot located at Mesa Park as an emergency pickup location for family or friends to pick you up in the event you feel unable to complete the ride
I look forward to see everyone riding strong & safely on Saturday.
