Well, I've never used anything but bottle generators, but I am very pleased with the B+M. I use a B+M fly IQ, and it's quite bright. I've had a pedestrian comment on it. I have two taillights, probably more than I really need. One is called Riff, from AXA Basta. The other is fender mounted, also, if I remember correctly, from AXA Basta, but I forget it's name. My son's bicycle has a B+M toplight, which is a bit brighter.
