For a single speed commuter, the fantom cross is better for you.

On a side note, I ordered from bikes direct before and package was perfect. Only complaint was the front wheel needed to be majorly trued. And they never fed the brake cables through the brake levers, yet they were fed through the caliper and had a crimp on it. Which made no sense.
