Of course it is illegal, just like cycling on the JFK or the Dan Ryan Expressways. Yet there are those on BF who suggest that instead of cycling on an MUP like the LSD MUP, "experienced cyclists" like themselves would and should take the traffic lane for safety purposes.
My point was and is that such blanket statements about how to handle cycling situations with which they are NOT experienced, make the poster sound like a fool.
I just want to clarify, last thing we need is someone caught riding on Lake Shore Drive, getting hurt or causing an accident, and saying that they saw it on here and didn't pay any mind to the signs at the entrance ramps. Wouldn't that be some negative press!
