A small point - putting a karge rear sprocket on a Sturmey-Archer AW and then running it in third all the time may cause the mechanism to slip if it's the old mechanism. They don't like excessive torque in third gear.

Add that to the fact that a larger sprocket will probably require replacement of the chain, and you've definitely spent the cost of a replacement shift trigger.
