I have a Team Pro on my road bike for 12 years now. No indents to show, but I can tell it's fitting me better with time and miles. It was hard as a rock when new, and it's the "pre-softened" model. Yeah, right. Doing the same thing with a new B17 on my other bike now. Not uncomfortable, but it doesn't have the fit that the old saddle has acquired.

I did it for my b17 and b67 pro as they arrived and am happy with the results. The Brook's proofide takes a long time to do its magic.
I use a little neatsfoot oil when new, but I just rub a bit into the saddle to help it break in a little sooner. I don't soak it like Sheldon suggests, just a bit on a rag and rub it in.

I'm not a purist on breaking in a Brooks but I don't take the radical route either.
