My first race was a road race with 4 very tight corners-there were a few major wrecks in the men's races. I think over 4 hours they sent two ambulences in, plus another broken collarbone whose buddies took him in. By the time the last race (Cat 5) ended the organizers were totally out of first aid supplies.
