Pretty much mirrors (heheh) my experience, except that I am through the learning curve. I wouldn't want to ride without a mirror. I think I have a Third Eye, mounted to my helmet. It uses adhesive, but I found it let go after a while if I didn't also zip tie it to the helmet (drilled two mall holes in the helmet.)
