I tried an eyeglass mounted mirror recently and found it to be too close for me to be able to quickly focus on. Then I tried a helmet mirror, a Cycle-Aware Reflex, and that works nicely. It's still taking me a while to get used to having it hanging out in front.
Pretty much mirrors (heheh) my experience, except that I am through the learning curve. I wouldn't want to ride without a mirror. I think I have a Third Eye, mounted to my helmet. It uses adhesive, but I found it let go after a while if I didn't also zip tie it to the helmet (drilled two mall holes in the helmet.)
