My old Fizik Arione developed a tear on the bottom edge after about 6000 miles and I want this one to last at least as long.

Thanks in advance!
It can depend on the quality of the saddle. I have a vintage white turbo that's easily a couple of decades old. No tears, just some light lines and wrinkling on the sides. I let it get grungy and then took a magic eraser to it -- looks pretty bright again. I've conditioned it lightly and it's held up well. I think newer saddles are just not built as well.
