definitely a "can't see the forest for the trees" sort of situation. We've done this trip a few times now, and there are always a few people who stick a little LED red light on their tent to find it easier when coming back late after doing the social thing.

it was actually fun just walking to the showers or the outhouses and checking out different tents, asking people how they liked their "x" tent. Kinda like a big giant store floor display every night. I need to get a new 2 person tent so it was nice to check out various brands and models and get opinions on diff aspects of them directly from the owners.
The range of bikes too was fun to gawk at and talk about too, everything from 25 yr old dt shifter touring bikes to box of kleenex heavy carbon fibre jobs.
