Can't really comment on the rear suspension designs, but I prefer the Kona for looks(well, except for color). Main reason for my post was to mention that there's a Kona dealer in Franklin. Have you checked them out? Plus, Nashville Bicycle Company sold Specialized last time I was in there. Think they've got a shop in Nashville and Franklin(they closed the one here).
