If someone has an income and does all the right things (pays bills on time, puts some away for retirement, give money to church and charity, build some savings, etc.), then they spend money for enjoyment. Then if you get your enjoyment by cycling upgrades and new bikes as well as riding, why not? What's the downside? Plus I also am helping the economy.
