Can you be more specific about the chrome ring? They are TT/aero bars, not drops, so where about should the shifters be pointing at high and low positions.
Can't tell you about the chrome ring without taking yours apart(ring is indexed to the pod body and also the shifter.),and never dealt with aero bar installation.
