Another visit to the topic of RUST

I was introduced to and had an opportunity today to speak to a co-worker who is an expert on corrosion. Being that restoring vintage steel is somewhat of a hobby, I asked what the best commercially available product on the market happens to be. The answer came back quickly.

The BEST is anything with Zinc. Two obvious choices are Zinc Chromate (causes Cancer) and Koropon

The BEST available commercially, CorrosionX from http://www.corrosionx.com/

For more on corrosion, try http://corrosion.ksc.nasa.gov/KoroponPrimer.htm The site has links to a number of things, including a beach-side corrosion test facility that is apparently widely known in "rust circles."

FWIW
