Looks normal.

Is the problem resistance at the lever, like it's almost jamming? If so, try holding the brake lever so it doesn't move sideways when you downshift.

If it's easier then, the brifter could be on the way out... I recoed a set of these; there's a post about it on the second page of the thread linked in my tag.
