Some bikes just look correct with one or the other.
On the track, sprint or massed start, High flange 32 or 36 spokes.
For Pursuit, 28 or 24 low flange. Because Eddy used low flange for the hour record. Need a better reason?
So back in the day I remember the argument being that low flange rode smoother because they had more shock absorption due to longer spokes. Is there no truth to that then? I am not arguing there is I just remember that being what I was told.
