I'm having the same problem with a frame I just got from a friend. Drive side won't come off. I removed the non-drive side plastic (broken) bracket shell. I've tried spraying WD-40 on there, but no luck. By the way, does anyone know what WD-40 will do to cartridge bearings?

How worried should I be over stripping the BB threads?

All I have at my disposal is a FSA BB tool and a screwdriver for leverage. I can't see any way to bolt this tool on the BB and still be able to put a wrench on it.

Frustrating.
