I grew up in/near Cumberland. You do the Garrett Co. Gran Fondo? Great albeit tough ride.
I remember that we traded posts about the Garrett County Gran Fondo. I chickened out again this year, but might do it next year. A cycling buddy of mine did the double, and said it was a killer - and he's a good climber, whereas I am not ... though I suspect I'll make it up that Asseteague mountain

There's also a new Frederick County Gran Fondo National Championship that I ought to ride in 2 weeks time. It's right in my town, but I won't be able to make it. Perhaps in 2013.

Anyway - I'll be pushing for a time well under 6 hours on the Sea Gull - and plan to start on the dot of 7:00am, and stay ahead of the crowds.
