The XL looks a much better fit for you.
Many new riders are buying frames that are too small for them before it looks more like the Pros. Unfortunately they usually are not as fit and as flexible as the Pros. The Pros also have much longer stems to compensate for choosing a smaller, stiffer, and lighter frame.
In your case the XL will allow you to grow with the bike. You can start with a rather upright position (still not cramped) and later turn the stem down as you become more flexible. On the top picture your hands are very far forward on the hoods, farther it seems than a regular top of the bar position. This clearly show that the frame (TT) is not too long for you, you could even go with a stem a bit longer as you flexibility improves.
