New carbon fork - crack beneath lacquer?

Hello everyone,

I was inspecting my new carbon fork closely today and noticed what appears to be a crack in the area where the two carbon halves are joined. The seam deviates from a straight line into two. The lacquer above this area is shiny and smooth.

I don't know if this is a crack or a normal result of manufacturing when carbon halves are joined at the seam. I've included a photo. If anyone can give me some feedback, it would be appreciated. Obviously, if there is the slightest chance that this is a crack, back the fork goes.
