I know the Crank Brothers had a bad rap the last time around with the previous 5050's, but they say they listened to the riders, and as their previous 5050's failed they redesigned the pedal to what it is now. They look flat as a pancake but they are said to have a slight front to back concave - dunno.

I was leaning toward the Vaults, but they are so dang pricey. I guess 'you get what pay for' applies here, eh. I'll also check out the Spank Spikes, thanks.
