FWIW, I just bought a Kinetic Road Machine to replace the Blackburn Ultra I have. It's not that I like riding on a trainer, but I have a major event coming up in March, and will be spending a lot of time on the trainer between now and then. It's bad enough working through the boredom on a trainer; working through boredom compounded by frustration with something that doesn't work correctly is something I'm too old to be willing to deal with.
Had to pass up a sweet deal on a frameset that I wanted to be able to afford the trainer. I've got four good road bikes plus the commuter, so I'll live.
