A quick guide is to measure the framesets length and add about 3 inches, measure its height and add about 3 inches and use 7 inched for the width.
A 24" frame:
W: 7
H: 24" frame 24+3 =27
L: 40" wb so 40 +3 = 43
G: W*2 + H*2
L+G: most shpping companies have a cutoff of 108"
L+G: 43+54+14 = 111" FORK MUST BE REMOVED FOR SHIPPING
A sneaky way to get a few extra inches is to 'wrap the box' with the measuring tape for the girth. Most counter clerks will measure each dimension and round up because they need to enter a number into the computer. 7-1/4" becomes 8", 24-1/4" becomes 25" etc. now your girth is 66" instead of 63". If the length is 43" one measurement is 109" and the other is 106" for the same box!!!
A 21" frame:
W: 7"
H: 21+3 = 24
L: 40+3 = 43
G: H*2 + W*2
L+G: 43+48+14 = 105" FORK DOES NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED
