My first cold weather commute this week, low 40's. I survived and actually enjoyed most of the rides. All comfy except fingers and toes. I hope to get the clothes right pretty soon!
It has been my experience that you can cause problems by wearing shirts and pants that are too warm. The same is not true of gloves and boots.
