I'm new to cycling and I bought a single speed, windsor clockwork, from bikes direct for a good economical choice for getting started. I love riding the bike and I believe it's quality suits my needs fine. I only ride 20-30 miles at a time and I don't have any complaints about it. But unfortunately I backed over the rear wheel and it has a good bend in it that is just too annoying to ride with. I have to widen the break pads real wide and it just has so much wobble it feels inefficient. What would be the best option to replace the wheel, when I go to to the LBS most wheels cost nearly a 3rd as much as the bike. But maybe it's worth the upgrade, I don't know. I plan on riding road bikes for a time to come so maybe a quality wheel or wheel set would be a good investment and in the future I could upgrade to a better bike and I already have quality wheels.
