I just came to this thread. My thought is that, if I am reading correctly, all of these flats and puzzling have involved just two tubes. OP keeps patching them and they develop new pinhole leaks. After the second time not finding snags or wires in the rim or tire, I'd have gone and got new tubes. There is defective stuff out there.
