FYI - My 2011 Cannondale mountain bike is a BB30 frame that came with a pressed in aluminum BSA adapter sleeve. I removed it using their special tool and installed a BB30 crank. No creaking issues with it. (Probably just jinxed myself)

I was told that removing the sleeve from a carbon frame is something that should not be attempted.
