These shoes are made for completely different purposes. The Giro is a carbon sole for road cleat systems. Basically, you will not want to walk more than a couple meters in them. The Vittoria are rubber and can be used with clips and straps or a recessed SPD cleat. One is for road racing/riding in style and the other is marketed at the urban/vintage recreation/transportation crowd.
Avail w/ various soles.
Giro and Vittoria are both retro-modern laceups.
I like the Vittoria better- more options and looks better to me.
