Actually the OCLV frames are about the only thing Trek still DOES make in the US. There is like 1 AL hard tail MTB frame too but that is it.

The cost of a CF bike is in the molds so there isn't a huge variance in the cost of those and even if there was they could source them from the cheapest source if they didn't have that process vertically integrated.
