I decided to build myself a bike using a vintage frame and some vintage components but having a modern drivetrain. Here is the result:













This is a 1984 Italian Masi 3V frame. I put an FSA Gossamer triple crank with Shimano Ultegra BB on the bike along with a Shimano 105 drivetrain and brakes. Fulcrum hubs laced to Mavic CXP22 rims and Michelin Erilium 2 tires. A Campy Super Record seat post, 3ttt stem pantographed "Alberto Masi" and Selle San Marco seat and bar tape complete the build. This bike used to look like this before the rebuild, built up with period correct components:
