That's interesting. My brother has sold tons of stuff on eBay and CL, and after having a really bad experience with PP holding up his money, he now only sells high dollar stuff (mostly musical instruments and production equipment) locally on CL for cash money.

I have bought a number of items on eBay over the years, but have never actually sold anything. I just started selling stuff on CL this year and it has been a great success for me. I sold a brand new Nikon DSLR for $500 earlier this year, an older DLP movie projector, a pair of barely-used Nike Shox shoes, and gave away a broken LCD HDTV. It all works out pretty well as long as you can meet up in a "neutral" location with plenty of people around.

So these days if I want to sell something, CL is going to be my choice. I also browsed CL for road bikes for several weeks before deciding to buy new from a shop.
