I'm looking for some advice. On my way up a slight incline, standing, my left pedal snapped off clean at the outer crank threads and I greeted the pavement. I'd say I had maybe 2k miles on the pedals and they were properly installed. I love keos, but my faith has been shaken. Are these less-than-pro versions of Keos known for durability problems? Would graduating to something like a Max 2 ensure that this really painful moment does not happen again? Any advice is appreciated.
