Work schedule is hectic this week, so only evening trainer rides for me. Probably 60-90 minutes each, hopefully 3 times. Since I have to be at work at 7am, morning workouts are not an option. My copies of the Cyclists Training Bible and The Feedzone Cookbook have just arrived, so hopefully I can start losing weight and gaining fitness at the same time, albeit a little more effectively.
One thing that has been quite strange. After taking a few months completely off the bike (life stuff) I've been riding 3-4 times a week and I've noticed dramatic changes in both fitness and the muscle tone of my legs. I remember last year when I was riding somewhat "hardcore" it seemed to take forever to achieve these same changes. I feel a lot better and I'm highly motivated to train for next year at the moment. I've gotten a power tap this year and have also been eating better, so maybe that's the change? Anybody else have this same experience?
